Big thank you to Eve Thomas and Goodee for featuring CalEarth: goodeeworld.com/blogs/stories/down-to-earth
In 1984, lunar and space habitation became an integral part of our founder, Nader Khalili's work. His sustainable building solutions to human shelter have been published by NASA, and awarded by the United Nations, and the Aga Khan award for Architecture, among others.
But, his true passion was developing SuperAdobe as a safe housing solution for the poor and those living as refugees.
“My father wanted to empower the individual, and he was always looking to simplify,” says Sheefteh, Nader's daughter, who now runs CalEarth with her brother, Dastan. "... My father called architecture ‘tangible poetry,’ and he built in harmony with nature. It’s something beyond construction. It’s something more.”
