International Workshops

Accessibility has always been one of the main goals of the work we do at CalEarth. In 2009 we launched a set of international workshop initiatives to bring this work to people around the world who are unable to make the long trek to California. We have been fortunate to co-host multiple workshops in Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Italy, Australia, France, Iran, and Morocco with our talented and committed alumni. If you have attended a CalEarth program and wish to host a workshop in your home country, please contact us for program requirements.

10-13 April, 2025

Location: Barcelona, Spain

Cost: 350 euros/450 euros

4 day intensive workshop. Participants will receive an official certificate of completion from the Cal-Earth Institute.

This workshop consists of theoretical and practical parts on the construction of dome structure.

May 11-18, 2025

Location: Calanna, Italy
Cost: 600 euros / 680 euros

This 8 days intensive course teaches how to apply the SuperAdobe/ earthbag technique for a dome construction. The participants will receive an official certificate of completion from the Cal-Earth Institute. During the workshop we will build an earth dome with a door opening and a window. The purpose of the course is to give the theoretical and practical tools useful to design and build a small earth structure or living space.

The course will be held in English and Italian.
